All-Pro Corner Darrelle Revis Plans To Recruit Antonio Cromartie To the New York Jets

Star All-Pro corner Darrelle Revis plans to recruit free agent Antonio Cromartie back to join forces again with the New York Jets according to ESPN.

Revis signed a five year $70 million dollar contract with the Jets last Tuesday. The contract also guaranteed him $39 million dollars to make him the highest paid cornerback in the league.

“I’m going to get in contact with him very soon and try to convince him to come back and join our Batman and Robin tandem that we had a couple of years ago,” Revis said.

The two cornerbacks played together from 2010 to 2012 under former Head Coach Rex Ryan. Both of them can lockdown receivers on the field and can provide problems. Since the front seven of the Jets defense is dangerous and a force to any offensive line in the league, it makes it easier for them to blitz more if Revis and Cromartie are playing together.

Bowles is known for his aggressive defensive scheme and needs shutdown corners to make it work. Cromartie is also drawing interest from his previous team, Cardinals and the Cowboys.
