This week, BLEU’s been inspired by Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Andra Day’s stand out single “Rise Up” as it was featured in a brand new inspirational campaign presented by Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Essence.
The San Diego native’s music and story detailing her journey to success was unveiled in a private screening of a short film “I Rise” held at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. “I Rise” also features four powerful African-American women, showcasing the impact they’re making in their communities.
Wondering how you can see it, too? The short film can be watched on a cellular device after scanning one of 40 million exclusive Coca-Cola cups sold at select McDonald’s locations across the country using Shazam’s new image recognition technology. Day’s appearance on the red-and-white cups is also an extension of the recently launched “Share a Cup and a Song” lyrics program.
