The Braves had “multiple” conversations about Tebow playing for the franchise, and is more than selling tickets at minor-league ballparks. It’s about potential for what type of player he can be.
The deal is worth less than $100,000, won’t be interfering with their farm system of prospects. Most likely Tebow will start in Double A and work from there. Maybe Tebow Time will happen in Atlanta, or crash down to earth if he doesn’t at least play average baseball.
