Did you know there was a such thing as the best grill cheese sandwich in every U.S State. How can it be? A grilled cheese sandwich is only made up of bread and cheese but these states have something different in mind. In Birmingham, AL they are known for their MELT Avondale grill cheese sandwich with homemade mac and cheese in between the two slices of bread. In Alaska they have “Not Cho Momma’s Grilled Cheese” filled with salsa, chips, jalapeño peppers, black beans, and sour cream. New Hampshire stuffs their infamous grilled cheeses with one meatball ricotta with spinach, tomatoes and provolone cheese. In New Jersey, Morristown is a special restaurant called the “Melt Factory Grilled Cheese” that serves a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches styled with any ingredients of your liking. New York City has the Classic Melt with a blend of Murray’s homemade cheese’s, and South Dakota gives something to the meat and veggie lovers with bacon, ham, salami, tomatoes, green onions, avocado, and American and Gouda cheeses.
When it comes to having a tasty drink that hits your taste buds just right, there is 28 beautiful bars across the country. Boston has a modern, homely feeling bar called Townsman decorated with leather chairs, metallic bar chairs, and industrial accents. Saxon and Parole in New York City is known for there homemade whiskey, with a cozy touch of candles and warm accents. Boston has a very modern and open look as if you were sitting in your home having a drink on your kitchen counter at Sportello’s. Pabu, located in San Francisco, has a very sophisticated look with the wide space, modern couches placed around the bar and giant windows. Lastly is Chicago, which is the city that had the most recommended bars to go to. But the one that caught my eye was Travelle Kitchen and Bar located in the Langham Hotel, which is also very sophisticated serving cocktails, beers, and wines while giving you a beautiful view of the city.
What’s food and drinks without something sweet on the side. A churro can be created in different ways and served with special toppings other than cinnamon. In Los Angeles, CA people love the churro ice cream sandwich with artisanal ice cream sandwiched between two crispy and flakey churro buns covered in sugar granules and cinnamon. For you Nutella lovers go to Washington, D.C., Boqueria where they serve Nutella stuffed churros. Now that sounds delicious. Phoenix, AZ tops their churros off with chocolate syrup, powder sugar, and has strawberries on the side.
