BJ THE CHICAGO KID DROPS NEW SINGLE “THE RESUME” FEATURING BIG K.R.I.T.

Chicago R&B singer and songwriter BJ The Chicago Kid releases “The Resume”[featuring Big K.R.I.T.]. You can listen to the song HERE, and it’s available for purchase at iTunesAmazon, and Google Play. It’s the latest track released from his forthcoming full-length debut, IN MY MIND [Motown Records], out early 2016.

On “The Resume,” BJ shows a different side of his soul-in-the-hood sound with expansive and sensual production — complete with slow, sultry finger-snaps — he lyrically seduces with the hypnotic hook, “I need a job, can you hire me?” before going on, “I want to work that body like it’s a nine-to-five.” In between, current tour mate Big K.R.I.T. delivers a booming verse of his own, adding another layer of depth.

BJ The Chicago Kid’s voice continues to echo through hip-hop and R&B. It resounded on two tracks from Dr. Dre’s 2015 #1 magnum opus, Compton. It broke through on ScHoolBoy Q’s Grammy-nominated “Studio, turning all eyes towards BJ. Meanwhile, everybody from Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West to Kehlani has sought him out. Cred first came with mixtapes such as The Life of Love’s Cupid and 2014’s The M.A.F.E. Project and now he’s one of the genre’s most ubiquitous voices.

Now, after four mixtapes and one indie classic, PINEAPPLE NOW-LATERS, and collaborations with artists including Kehlani, Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, OG Maco, Joey Bada$$, Hannibal Burress, Kanye West, Vic Mensa, Dom Kennedy, Freddie Gibbs, Ty Dolla $ignXzibit and, most recently, Big K.R.I.T. –he’s dropping his major-label debut In My Mind on Motown. Meanwhile BJ’s single “Church (feat. Chance the Rapper and Buddy)” recently entered rotation at Hot 97 and was added to MTV Jams and BET Centric.

Right now, he’s supporting K.R.I.T. on the Kritically Acclaimed Tour and receiving rave reviews across the country. Of a recent stop, The Dallas Observer wrote, “BJ The Chicago Kid turned many heads with a great set,” adding, “his debut album for the legendary recording company will definitely be worth checking out.”
