Clothing company Black Scale and the leading video game Dark Souls II, had partnered up for a limited edition capsule collection. This is Black Scale’s first video game collaboration, “We kind of fell in love with it right away and I was like, lets get it going” says creative director Terson Stevenson. Dark Souls II is the follow up of Dark Souls; it’s a direct sequel. “We feel that both Black Scale and Dark Souls II have a unique and mysterious feel to the brands,” says J. Kartje, community manager of Namco Bandi. Black Souls focuses on identity and death, which associates well with Dark Souls II story. They both aimed toward something comfortable and ended up with a sweatshirt. Knowing they needed to boost up their artistic skills since collaborating with a video game, Black Scale used their own font for the Dark Souls II logo with a blood or dripping paint effect for the front of the shirt. On the back is a crescent ax weapon, inspired by the lead character with the imagery of the knight inside of the death crescent. “ Dark Souls II and Black Scale totally come together within the imagery and esthetic” states Terson Stevenson. The Dark Souls II video game is set to release on March 11th, 2014. Check out the collaboration and enter to win one of the exclusive pieces from the collection by following Dark Souls on Facebook .
