Justin Bieber has reinvented his sound and has taken a more urban approach — well, at least on his new song “Heartbreaker.”
On the slow tempo track, Bieber shows his vulnerable side as he sings about a break up. Many people have speculated that the song references Bieber’s former lover Selena Gomez. The two broke up late last year.
“It’s a song for people going through a heartbreak — like I was when I wrote it,” Bieber said. “It means so much to me to be able to share what I was, and still am going through, with my fans. I’m very proud of this song and I hope it give my fans some insight into my heart.”
“Heartbreaker” is the first release from Bieber’s “Music Mondays” series, which will feature one new song every week for ten consecutive weeks.
“Each week the songs get better #musicmondays,” Bieber tweeted. “maybe u might get lucky with two songs in a week.”
