Burberry called its Prorsum show “Straight-Laced” — although it was anything but. Christopher Bailey’s fanciful collection pushed the limits of masculine style with a pile of lace — in all its Chantilly, macramé and Nottingham glory.
The collection showcased a nice balance of formal and traditional attire which was great to look at on the runway but may be a little hard to strut of the streets for the everyday man. Are today’s men about that lace-life? Though the line is extremely well put together and almost poetically created, it may be a little tough to sell in today’s men’s fashion market.
