Transforming conventional men’s wear into lifestyle attire seems to be Michael Kors‘ strong suit. Creating clothing that can seamlessly be transitioned from day-time office wear to leisurely night attire most certainly not an easy feat, but Michael makes it almost seem effortless.
I believe in hybrids, I took dressed up, polished, tailored clothes and infused them with casualwear.
Michael’s Fall/Winter Collection for 2015 really embodies demonstrates that sense of “hybrid”, he speaks about. Layering, accessorizing, and remaining on trend while still being functional are all things Michael meticulously blends in throughout all of his men’s collections.
Injected with classic prints like herringbone, and camouflage and uses of flattering hemlines and tailored fits, this collection epitomizes a dashing-dan. The heavy use of camouflage really helps add to the leisurely feel while still giving a sense of refined ruggedness. All of these components really help sell the sixties inspired theme without compromising the collection’s contemporary feel.
Versatility in a fashion sense isn’t all that the designer took into account. Consciously keeping consumers pockets in mind, Michael Kors also updated his accessory line and featured more cost-efficient luxury elements. Take for instance his used of embossed leather briefcases meant to mimic crocodile skin. No worries! You will not be spending “an arm and a leg” to look like a million bucks.
Michael Kors‘ menswear line and his men’s bags are available online and also at his brand new flagship location in SoHo at 520 Broadway.
