Culture Creators Brunch: A Celebration of Some of Music’s Biggest Executives
Last weekend over 200 guest arrived at Mr. C in Beverly Hills for the Culture Creators Brunch, in celebration with the 2016 BET Awards. Hosted by Culture Creators’ founder and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Partnerships at Atlantic Records, Joi Pitts, the event gathered much of the music industry’s most dominant and leading individuals to celebrate their contributions in facilitating Black culture in the music industry.
The brunch recognized individuals who merit leadership in the entertainment industry and honored their legacy with a “pass the torch” ceremony to current innovators making their marks as professionals in their entertainment industry. Sponsored by Seagram’s Gin and Revolt TV, the guest enjoyed signature cocktails and were greeted by the Master of Ceremony, and the likes of Mona Scott-Young, (television producer and music manager), who presented each honoree with their award.
One of many inspiring speeches came from Yvette Noel-Schure (Beyonce’s publicist), followed by comedian, Katt Williams who stole the show with a surprise appearance, hilariously accepting the award on behalf of entertainment industry trailblazer, Andre Harrell. Culture Creators hopes to continue honoring individuals each year. These influences actively further the success of the Black culture and entertainment.
