Darius Rucker & India.Arie Named National Chairs for Nashville’s African-American Music Museum
Former Hootie & The Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker and soul singer/songwriter India.Arie were among the stars named as national chairs for Nashville’s prestigious African-American Music Museum, according to Billboard this week.
The two join fellow artists Keb’ ‘Mo and gospel veteran CeCe Winans who will also serve as national chairs for the museum slated to open in 2018 to launch the city’s acclaimed region called the Avenue of the Arts on 5th Avenue adjacent to the Ryman Auditorium.
The announcement of the national chairs precedes the museum’s third annual tribute luncheon, My Music Matters: A Celebration of Legends, taking place May 6th at Nashville’s Renaissance Hotel.
