There’s a lot that can be said about Los Angeles, and that’s probably because there’s a lot of Los Angeles to talk about. From Beverly Hills, Hollywood, to South Central, and even out to Venice beach, the term “Los Angeles” encapsulates a lot of different, distinct neighborhoods. But if we are to talk about Los Angeles, in it’s purest form, then we have to talk about Downtown LA.
For many decades, Downtown LA was seen as mostly an industrial, often sketchy, forgotten part of town, which made it the perfect place for artists and musicians to live and work (Downtown is also home to LA’s Art district), and much like any creative enclave, Downtown LA soon flourished into a thriving, modern neighborhood, rich with museums, restaurants and bars serving foods from all over the world, and beautiful historic buildings.
When in Downtown LA,
Meet friends for coffee at Verve Coffee Roasters, a Santa Cruz-based coffee roaster and cafe, serving a truly crafted coffee experience, from bean to bar.
Grab a dinner and drinks at Commissary, Chef Roy Choi’s beautiful modern greenhouse dining experience sits a top the Line Hotel, and not only offers the best Instagrammable environment, but boasts an amazing menu.
Raymond goes to Los Angeles and meets up with some old friends!
He contemplates moving here.
