It wasn’t that long ago when the Def Jam singer-songwriter  Elijah Blake graced our very own cover of Bleu Magazine. As he debuted his amazing album, “Shadows and Diamonds” the world began taking a serious notice to the “X.O.X” artist.  Fast forward to the era of ‘Blueberry Vapors’ a mixtape full musical gems, it evident that the Elijah has evolved immensely! The project has deliver’s amazing production, well-versed lyrical content, ebstilland a range of melodic melodies over edgy beats. As wonderful as the mixtape is, the latest visuals for ‘Blueberry Vapors’ are beyond captivating. Directed by Sean Alexander, the spontaneous trip to Japan transpired into something visually stunning. Samurai swords swing with force cutting through the spring-like weather in slow motion. An abundance of beautiful blooming flowers brilliantly brings the landscape of the background to life. Choreographed combat and poses pulls you in

Before you know it, you’re completely invested in the three part video of six minutes & twenty-one seconds. Luckily, we were able to speak with the soulful singer for a couple questions of the much anticipated ‘Forget You’ Video.

Bleu Magazine: What was the Inspiration behind the visuals of your latest video ‘Forget You’?

Elijah Blake: The inspiration for this video was everything that made me fall in love with Japanese culture. The fashion. The architecture, the samurai aesthetic and tradition are all components that drew me to take that flight to a foreign land for two weeks and shoot this visual.

Bleu Magazine: How does it feel to be entering a new chapter musically and what can we expect?

Elijah Blake: This visual is the final installment and closing of the Blueberry Vapors chapter. The video for the first single off the album which is completely a new sound from me will drop shortly after.
