Last month was the official launch of People Footwear, a footwear brand producing the next generation of classic casual footwear. This month, renowned staple shopping arena for those involved in both streetwear culture and quality footwear, Kith NYC, will be selling an exclusive all-white limited edition colorway in the Stanley Knit (shown above) and Phillips Knit (shown below) styles for the summer season.
People Footwear produces comfortable, quality footwear made from the latest technology. Constructed from their own performance molded foam known as SkyliteTM EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate), their shoes are the epitome of comfort. “The focus is lightweight materials, supreme comfort, and timeless style,” states De Jong, founder of People Footwear. “People Footwear offers a contemporary design stripped down to its simplest form. From construction to production, nothing is wasted and everything is streamlined. That process of simplification and reinventing classic styles has created footwear for the future.”
One of People’s futuristic components is their DreamKnitTM collection, the first of its kind in the casual footwear market. Using a high-tech digital knitting machine each pair takes one hour to digitally knit using multiple spools of thread to create a unique look and feel. “This is one of the first casual shoe of its kind – our DreamKnit collection will help change the future of footwear production,” reveals De Jong.
