Fashion News: Pusha T x Marcelo Burlon x Opening Ceremony
While being a well-known and appreciated rapper, another part of their musical and luxurious lifestyle is the fashion. Being in front of millions of people, having your picture taken left and right, being interviewed, filming a music video, being on tour or simply posting pictures on social media, as we all know, rappers tend to always want and wear designer garments. But that doesn’t mean that they are titled to just wearing them, a lot of well-known musicians today have been or have already come out with their own clothing line. People such as Kanye West, Jay Z, Diddy, Pharrell, along with Pusha T are successful at doing so. Pusha T and his American street-wear line called Play Cloths, which first launched back in 2008, was inspired by the nostalgia of chosen attire for afterschool activity while still expressing individuality and style. Now taking his fashion design to the next step, he is now debuting a second collection with Marcelo Burlon, for his own spin on Mercelo’s Country of Milian T-Shirt line and launching a full-blown collection of T-shirts, iPhone cases, bandanas and shoelaces only being sold exclusively in Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles today. “I would say that I try to approach every project with the true consumer in mind. I just want it to be fresh; I want it to be wearable and timeless.” – Pusha T. Dig up more info at openingceremony.com.
