Let’s face it the year of Superhero movies have been an up and down roller coaster.
“Deadpool” was a huge success even as a rated “R” movie. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” may had made a lot of money, but didn’t come close even be an average film. “Captain America: Civil War” was a masterpiece, nothing really negative to say other than possibly seeing more fight scenes between the teams. Now “X-Men: Apocalypse” was in the middle, not too high or low but took a step back in the franchise. For “Suicide Squad”, it make or break for the summer and to save the DC Universe from embarrassment.
The movie is compose of a talented cast from Viola Davis to Margot Robbie to Will Smith. All of these actors want to make a statement, jump start their legacy into the Robert Downey Jr class. Only a few actors are able to reach that milestone, and most of these actors have a long way to go. DC isn’t exactly off to a good start. The Dark Knight trilogy still the biggest achievement of DC. In fact, no superhero movie came close to this day of surpassing “The Dark Knight” (second on Rotten Tomatoes is “Spiderman 2” at 93 percent). Can Suicide Squad live up to it’s potential?
