Gap Jumps The Piperlime Ship

After 9 years of business, Gap has decided to shut down it’s brand- Piperlime.  The web site first launched back in 2006 in hopes of beating out fellow e-commerce rivals, Amazon and Zappos.  Unfortunately the companies revenue never exceeded $100 million causing Gaps overalls sales to decrease.

So what will Gap do now that it has decided to say so long to it’s smallest brand?

According to Fortune.com, Gap will focus on it’s portfolio of five Brands- Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta and Intermix.
