Did you know this? I certainly didn’t. But not all of us are gay men using the Grindr app.
Grindr, the gay male dating app, has been trying to break into the fashion business for quite some time, and it seems now that their efforts are finally paying off. They have created their own menswear collection, entitled the Varsity Collection- a 29-piece assortment of sporty articles of clothing with printed Ancient Greek motifs. The collection is also well priced; the prices range from $25 to $130, not bad at all!
Landis Smithers, Grindr’s creative director, explained the purpose of the collection in a press release, saying, “As we keep evolving, we are looking for ways to combine things people enjoy with ways to help the community globally. The collection feels sexy, cheeky, fun, but in the end, all profits are going to an amazing group that helps athletes with the issues the gay community faces all around the world.” Indeed, all the profits are going to help Athlete Ally’s Principle 6 campaign, which helps stop homophobia in the sports sphere. Good on you, Grindr!
You can shop the collection on Grindr’s website.
