‘Halloween’ Getting A New Sequel Of The Franchise With John Carpenter Returning
The ‘Halloween’ franchise may be coming back in theaters, and former director John Carpenter could be making a comeback.
Carpenter will be an executive producer on the new “Halloween” movie, financed by Miramax and Blumhouse Productions. He hopes to bring back the roots of the movie, considering which direction it went when the franchise started to go down.
“’Halloween’ needs to return to its traditions,” Carpenter said in a statement according to the Business Insider. “I feel like the movies have gotten away from that… Michael is not just a human being; he’s a force of nature, like the wind. That’s what makes him so scary.”
Michael Myers was known to be one of the scariest characters from horror movies. The first movie made him an icon that many people see on Halloween. The return of Carpenter definitely brings excitement of bringing the horror roots back.
