Today is the 41st birthday of New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez. The oldest player on the team in his 22 years as an MLB player has 696 home runs, 2,084 runs battled in and 3,113 hits. Only four home runs away from 700 and the Yankees continue to hold him back. He wants to play and help the team out no matter what it takes. Maybe his wish is to be active for the franchise moving forward, making the most out of the remaining years left as a Yankee.
Here is one of his memorable moments against the Boston Red Sox, which shows just how much of a presence A-Rod is.
