Puerto Rico is set to host BOOM: The Future of the Latin American Design, a 3-day fair from November 14-17, showcasing the very best Latin America has to offer. With the historic city of Ponce as its backdrop, the international event will gather the most innovative designers from several sectors including furniture, interior design, jewelry, accessories, and advanced technologies.
The fair was created by Miguel Miranda Montes and designer and curator Celina Nogueras Cuevas. BOOM’s goal is to strengthen the design sector in Latin America while transforming Puerto Rico as a hub and gateway for Latin American design to the global market. “We will have professionals from all sectors of the design industry under one roof. The opportunities to establish local and international relationships between vendors and buyers are limitless,” Montes said.
BOOM’s gathering of talent will be mixed within an island of diverse culture and heritage, complete with the islands beautiful landscapes, warm people, fascinating attractions and food. There is no reason not to visit. Also, for U.S. citizens, no passport is required – how great is that.
