Hood By Air unveiled their 2014 Fall/Winter Collection at New York Fashion Week on February 9th, 2014 with heavyset silhouettes along with the brands street design and famous HBA logo. The collection features oversized garments including shirts, suits, pants and sweaters with versatile colors, graphics, fabrics and plenty of metal hardware, accessories and fake hair. If you are familiar with HBA, then what you see is what you should expect. The fashion show left people in awe and took them out of the real world and placed them into another with a tribal sense. Shayne Oliver, the designer, sent out both men and women onto the catwalk, sporting leather, denim and suede with zippers, whipstitch details and cutout panels. “I wanted to build up on this concept where its like, I just put this on and I take it off. In a sense in like how a drag performer would do it. What I want to see and what exactly the message is. I just put it out there and feel it out”, Shayne Oliver had mentioned in an interview with style.com. The designer closed the show with a line of shirtless men in bondage denim pants, wearing wigs and dancing or more like ‘voguing’ while whipping their hair back and forth.
