The Indian Pacers are on a roll as they beat the Milwaukee Bucks 109-103 in overtime to reach their winning streak to seven games according to Yahoo Sports. Rodney Stuckey scored 25 points and Luis Scola contributed with 17 points and 15 rebounds.
This season the Pacers have been an up and down team. The losses of Lance Stephenson and Paul George in the off-season affected the team’s chemistry gradually and put themselves in a big hole. Center Roy Hibbert fell off and was not the same player since the 2012 NBA Playoffs. But it did not stop the way they play as a team to secure a victory over the Bucks.
We took it as a playoff game. That’s the way we wanted to come in,” Miles said. ”It was a big win for us. (Milwaukee’s) a team we’re chasing in the standings. We were just able to make some plays down the stretch.
C.J. Miles finished with 17 points in the game. The Pacers are currently the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-34 record. Since the All Star Break, they posted a 9-1 record and are 3 1/2 games behind Milwaukee for the 6th seed.
Paul George is recovery from a broken leg and started to practice with the team in March. The team as a whole with a good backcourt and David West leading the way can be dangerous to anyone in the East. George is a mismatch against most small forwards in the league. If he is close to the same player he was before the injury, they have a chance to pull an upset in the playoffs.
