It seems like Pharrell Williams and iconic fashion house Chanel might be working on an upcoming collaboration. In a video posted on Chanel’s official YouTube page, Pharrell is recorded spending the day inside the Metiers d’art of Chanel (the name given to the brand’s couture factories). Pharrell can be seen getting a firsthand look at the creative process as he works alongside a team of Chanel designers on various garments from the Métiers d’art Paris Rome 2015/16 collection.
Pharrell already has an extensive resume when it comes to his involvement with the world of fashion. He has been a long time collaborator with Adidas, and recently became the co-owner of denim brand G-Star. The “Happy” singer previously starred in a number of Chanel films and campaigns in recent years. It is also known that Pharrell is good friends with Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld. In fact, Pharrell even posted a picture of him and his wife posing with Lagerfeld earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week.
No concrete details about an official collaboration have been shared by Pharrell or Chanel yet. But the video sure does allude to Pharrell’s involvement in the design process during his visit.
