First a collaborated tour, now a joint album. The power couple is planning to drop a joint album to hopefully increase sales for the music streaming service.
Although not officially announced, hip-hop producer Detail, responsible for the hit song “Drunk In Love” heavily teased the possibility back in February said Entertainment Weekly.
Due to Tidal’s sinking popularity since its launch in March, if it does happen, it might be the boost Tidal needs in order to save it. After reaching the Top 20 in the iPhone top download charts, it quickly sank out of the top 700 two weeks later. Kanye West even started deleting all tweets mentioning it said BGR.
While Tidal’s popularity is beginning to fall, its rivals Pandora and Spotify were ranked No.3 and No. 4, with Spotify being the lead contender, last week.
Maybe by the time this drops(possibly), Tidal might make a comeback.
