French Designer Jean Paul Gaultier partnered with Italian high street retailer OVS to launch an accessibly priced capsule collection.
“My collaboration with OVS is a playful collection for the end of the year holidays,” Gaultier said of the line, according to WWD. “I wanted something fun and at the same time dressed up, that is why we developed a print with the deck of cards and used the asymmetrical cuts.”
Gaultier, who launched his first collection since 1976, has a reputation in building playful garments for men and women. Some of these signature styles for this collection features 60 pieces at low prices.
For the women, he provided them trenchcoats that can be worn as a dress, suits with organza details and even a bomber jacket. These are stylish for anyone looking to be on the spotlight in public. For the men, they have printed jeans and T-shirts with striking pants. OVS chose Gaultier because of all these creatives styles within the collection.
“First of all, we decided to choose Jean Paul Gaultier because he has a fun, playful image. I think our customers find him friendly and low-key, which is something very important for us,” said OVS chief executive officer Stefano Beraldo according to Cover Media.
The collection set to release on the company’s online collection Nov 18.
