The song “GOD,” produced by TM-88 and Southside, is a declaration from Jeezy that he still is revered and respected after over a decade in music. Jeezy proved this point on July 25th when he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his landmark debut solo album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 with an all-star concert at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta featuring guest appearances from Kanye West, Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast, T.I. and many more. As Complex noted, “there’s a reason why Jeezy is still your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.”

Yesterday, in a letter posted on his Instagram page, Jeezy described today’s social climate as dire for young black men and women. However, he also hinted at hope proclaiming “Dreams don’t expire, they just multiply.” It’s with this letter, that Jeezy formally announced the album, as well as its subject matter. Read the letter below.

Over the course of his successful career, the talented emcee has sold over 5 million albums worldwide and has had multiple chart topping hits.  He is a pioneer in the world of trap music, which has since become a genre all on its own.  Proving that Jeezy has immense longevity, he released his fifth studio album, SEEN IT ALL on September 2014, which was his first LP in nearly three years and marked the third #1 Soundscan debut of his career.
