Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant didn’t waste no time unveiling his new KD10 signature sneakers during the western conference finals, which made it the perfect setting considering how tough of an opponent the San Antonio Spurs are.
Ten years ago Durant sign with Nike and received his first signature shoe. For a skinny player coming out of Texas and couldn’t even bench press 185 pounds during the NBA combine, he surely went beyond expectations in his career. Durant and Nike designer Leo Chang thought of taking this particular signature sneaker to another level, making tweaks despite having similar designs to the KD9. They added the Flyknit construction on the KD10, which it made for flexibility, breathability and support.
“I got a pair of the Flyknit Racer during the 2012 games in London and immediately loved them. That shoe is so stylish, so innovative and so comfortable. I’ve been asking for Flyknit in my shoe and the KD10 is my best shoe yet,” says Durant according to Nike.
The designers of the shoe also added an easier lacing system compare to the KD9. They are bigger and an all-important locked down fit that Durant loves. Sneaker lovers can’t wait to get their hands on these signature sneakers from a top five player in the NBA. The shoe expects to hit in stores June 5th for $150.
