Kobe Bryant’s ‘Mamba League’ Helping Youth Basketball Players Develop The Right Way
Kobe Bryant’s collaboration with the L.A. Boys and Girls club on making the “Mamba League” will really help youth basketball players understand the fundamentals of basketball.
“Right now, I think we’re putting too much pressure on these kids too early, and they’re not learning proper technique of how to shoot the ball, or proper technique of spacing,” Bryant, who has been very critical of the AAU program in the past, said according to Alex Sumsky of Basketball Forever.
Bryant is still fundamentally one of the best players ever in NBA history. He consistently works on his game from footwork to shooting the basketball with proper form. Most kids in today’s world rely on athleticism than skill, which is important when they get older. So many of the successful players in NBA history are fundamentally sound from Wilt Chamberlain to Hakeem Olajuwon to Michael Jordan. Two centers and one shooting guard focused on footwork and patience more than these youth players, but Bryant is gonna change that.
