LeBron James Declined His Player Option For Next Season, Will Most Likely Stay In Cleveland
Three-time champion LeBron James declines his player option for next season and will most likely stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It’s no surprise to see James, the king and the best player in the world, become a free agent to get more money. Since the cap is going up to $94 million this season, and next season to possibly $120 million, his contract will be the most in the NBA.
A smart-savvy businessman like James knows his worth, depending on how much he wants per year. He most likely will sign with the team for one year with a player option to be part of the 2017 free agency, with other notable stars in the mix.
But it’s scary to see how much money athletes are asking for thanks to the TV deals. The future may have started already, and goes into a vortex of big opportunities even for those that make 1-2 million a year.
