“Naturally, of course,” LeBron James said following shootaround Wednesday as the Cavs prepared for Game 2 with the Hawks according to the New York Times. “That’s since I’ve came back. It’d be great to play against those guys in the postseason. Throughout my whole career, I’ve always wanted to go against Wade in a playoff series. We’ve always talked about it even before we became teammates in ’10.”
Naturally it would be a great for the NBA and two best friends in competing against each other. LeBron James vs Dwyane Wade may go down as one of the best playoff matchups in NBA history. James gets to go up against his former team, who helped him get two titles. Wade on the other hand, is waiting on this for a long time going all out against James.
The Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in tough matchups for the second round. While both teams are up currently up 1-0, it may go six or seven games. But remember this, they want to end it quickly for rest and preparation against each other. It’s good for the NBA and ratings. Heat have a chance to upset the Cavaliers, looking for a Finals berth since 2014. Cavaliers are in position to make it back to the Finals, possibly facing the Golden State Warriors.
Most NBA scouts would pick the Cavaliers over Heat in six or seven games. But don’t be surprise if the Heat, who have a veteran team combined with depth to possibly upset the Cavaliers. Either way if this happens, expect a grind out, trash talking series that will be talked about for years to come.
