LYFE JENNINGS TAKES STAND FOR CITY OF BALTIMORE WITH A NEW SONG HE WROTE TITLED “BALTIMORE”

In light of the recent protests and riots in the city of Baltimore, singer/songwriter Lyfe Jennings took a stand by raising awareness through a song he recently wrote titled Baltimore“. He performed the song on News Channel 8 “Let’s Talk Live” show in Arlington, VA this morning.  Lyfe was on his way to Baltimore to promote his upcoming album when the trip got canceled due to protests and riots. He wrote the song soon after to show his support to the city and people affected.  Some of the lyrics are…“Hurt people wanna hurt people, two wrongs don’t make it right it don’t even make it even.”  He’s calling for all entertainers who have a voice to use it!  #blacklivesmatter #alllivesmatter #ProLyfe

“BALTIMORE”  – written and performed by Lyfe Jennings

Have more than what you show

Speak less than what you know

You ain’t got nothing good to say then

Keep your dang mouth closed

Be a man of your word

See it through to the end

Cause if God can’t trust you with that small things

He’ll never trust you with the big

Remember hurt people wanna hurt people

And church people are sometimes the worse people

And cursed people are always the first people

You gotta know your worth people

‘Cause ya get what you deserve

People they say we  burning

Baltimore

Kids too young to be going to war

Gotta find a better solution

What are you doing

Two wrongs don’t make it right, it don’t even make it even

All it does is show your lack of control

Life without a reason

Years without a season

Lungs without the breathing

Trust without believing

One day we’ll all be leaving

Remember hurt people wanna hurt people

And church people are sometimes the worse people

And cursed people are always the first people

You gotta know your worth people

Cause ya get what you deserve people

They say we burning  Baltimore

Kids too young to be going to war

Gotta find a better solution

What are we doing
