With an Album that practically came out of nowhere, Jay Z strikes back with his 12th Studio Album Titled The Magna Carta Holy Grail. With very little promotion for the album and no Single on the Radio, he still created a huge buzz with the Commercials on Youtube and on TV by Samsung. Unfortunately I was one of the many without a Samsung Galaxy Phone, but the good folks at Roc Nation made sure that I was able to hear the Album before the physical release date. This by far is one of Jay’s best works from the moment you press play he jumps right in. The featured guest on the Album includes Rick Ross, Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Nas, Justin Timberlake and many more.
The Producers involved are Timbaland, Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon, Pharell Williams, Swizz Beats, The-Dream, Mike Will Made It, Kyambo Joshua, Mike Dean, Travis Scott, Vinylz, and WondaGurl. There are 16 Tracks on the Project and out of all of them there are only 2 or 3 that he could have left out. My personal favorites are Hoily Grail, Picasso Baby, Tom Ford, F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit, Oceans, F.U.T.W., Somewhereinamerica, Beach is Better (Interlude), and BBC. The only thing that he was missing from this Album was a feature from Jeezy, which was something on my wish list. Overall I’d say that the Album lived up to the Hype and I’m sure it will be another one to add to the list of Platinum Albums. I encourage you to make that purchase.
