The American renowned fashion designer Michael Kors is recognized for his famous MK logos, his clothing, accessories and apparel, designing Michelle Obama’s dress for her first official portrait and also serving as a judge on the popular television show Project Runway. Something people might not know is that men’s is having a moment at Michael Kors. In New York, a soon to be SoHo store will open in late August and men’s wear will have its own dedicated space contributing 2,500 square feet of space within its 22,000 square foot store. Along with its accessories shop at Macy’s Herald square, which holds a 500 square foot shop on the main floor offering Michael Kors men’s leather accessories and bags, Kors men’s wear is doing quit well since the opening in November. The new SoHo store will mark a new beginning, devoting a full range of Michael Kors men’s apparel, bags, watches, footwear, small leather goods, belts, fragrance, underwear and eyewear. “And this is the collection that we’ll open the store with,” Kors said. He describes his new Fall A/W 2014 men’s collection as, “Big Sur meets Big City, a blend of East Coast urbane polish and relaxed West Coast ease. With a little John F. Kennedy Jr. and Jake Gyllenhaal thrown in for good measure.” With this in mind, keep your eyes open and your wallets ready for this new shop and new beginning for men’s wear and accessories for MK in August 2014!
