4 years after dropping the critically acclaimed Channel Orange, and countless false alarms, it is believed that Frank Ocean will be releasing his highly anticipated second studio album Boys Don’t Cry exclusively on Apple Music this Friday.
For music lovers, this upcoming album is probably one of the most anticipated albums of the year, especially considering the the album title was announced in 2013. The exclusive launch on Apple Music will definitely put the spotlight back on the rivalry between them, and the other music screaming services like Tidal and Spotify.
Boys Don’t Cry won’t be completely exclusive to Apple Music for too long though. The period will only last for two weeks before the album is released on other streaming platforms. However, as part of the deal, Apple stores will carry videos and a printed publication for Boys Don’t Cry. If the album drops on Friday, that would be great, but with Frank’s track record, I wouldn’t have my hopes up.
