Nixon, the California-based watch and accessories brand, brings its West Coast DNA to New York City with the opening of its first U.S. brick and mortar retail store in Manhattan’s trendsetting SoHo neighborhood. The space will showcase a curated collection of Nixon’s Team Designed, Custom Built watches and accessories.
Built with award-winning design features, the SoHo location will bring to life the brand’s action-sports heritage. The store will showcase Nixon’s signature watch table: featuring open-merchandising of watches in the shape of an undulating wave, the watch table invites customers to try on and experience product first hand. Anchoring the store is Nixon’s customization bar, which allows customers the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind watches. The new space will also give Nixon the opportunity to spotlight its limited-edition offerings, including its new, Swissmade Automatic RSVP collection.
“Our retail stores have proven to be a successful vehicle in authentically raising the brand’s profile,” said SVP of Direct to Consumer Tim Mack. “We saw an opportunity to expand our presence in New York through retail while further supporting our wholesale partners.”
“We are excited to put down roots in SoHo and in a city that has such an influence on fashion and culture,” said VP of Sales, Brian White.. “The New York store presents a great opportunity for us to showcase Nixon and introduce the brand to a whole new audience. We’ve found that our flagship stores really help raise our profile and we expect this store will accelerate our wholesale partners’ business in New York and on the East Coast.”
In addition to the New York location, Nixon has opened stores in key cities to support its global presence in more than 90 countries around the world. Locations include Seven Dials and Carnaby in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne and Berkeley, California. The brand expects to continue to open locations in key cities in the Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US over the next year.
Nixon SoHo is located at 122 Prince Street, between Wooster Street and Greene Street, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
