Indiana Pacers Paul George returns to the team and wants to win out to make playoffs according to Indystar. In his return he scored 13 points in 15 minutes.
The Indiana Pacers have four games left in the season. They are fighting for the 8th sees and have the tiebreaker over Boston and Brooklyn. George wants to win out and preaches on this teammates treating these games as playoff games.
We’ve got to win out. We’ve got to treat every game like it’s a playoff game,” George said. “It’s going to help us down the road if we make the playoffs. We’ve got to start habits now.
Overall there record is 35-43. They know if they win out they are in and facing the Atlanta Hawks in the first round. Both these teams last year faced each other last year in the first round which resulted to seven games. The Pacers won game 7 to advance to the second round and they hope to do same as Paul George gets comfortable on the court with his teammates.
I just wanted to get my feet wet, just to see how my body holds up to it, so it could help me learn later down the road if I play the whole game, he said. This was just a good step.
Head Coach Frank Vogel will monitor George game by game and hopes to have him to 100 percent if they make the playoffs.
