Pharrell uses palm trees as his latest inspiration for his Adidas collaboration
Musician Pharrell and Adidas have had a long history together, and for their latest joint venture, Pharrell is taking inspiration from palm trees!
The collaboration, which goes by The Palm Pack, is the perfect look for summer, with green palm trees adorning a pair of white Stan Smith sneakers, a red version, and a T-shirt, shorts and a zip up also on offer.
The Palm Tree Pack is also in collaboration with Billionaire Boys Club (BBC), the clothing retailer Pharrell founded with music and fashion designer friend Nigo.
Footwear News reports that Pharrell took inspiration from one of his BBC Ice Cream shoes for the new Adidas offerings. Instead of the usual picture of Stan Smith on the tongue, it has been replaced with the BBC astronaut logo and a B logo also features on the heel.
“We’ve had a really wonderful relationship,” Pharrell told Highsnobiety.com. “We learn from each other. And we benefit from the service to push and advance the culture forward in whatever ways we can. We try to communicate that through our campaigns and the actual product and through the kind of messages that we put out. That’s our main focus.”
