Legendary rapper RZA, who is known for his past works with Wu Tang Clan, donating portions of his 36 Chambers line to Children’s Literacy Society.
“When starting this line it was very important for us to build a charitable aspect into our company starting with the first season,” he says according to Cover Media. “With it being the holiday season we hope to encourage others to get involved by giving to a great cause, while at the same time purchasing a great jacket to wear.”
This organization was created by his sister, Sophia Diggs, in 2009. It’s main focus is to help young children discover the importance of reading and writing. RZA’s sister wanted to do this when she saw so many adults with low level literacy skills. The Children’s Literacy Society also provides funding for after school programs.
It’s nice to see rappers like RZA care about this generation, and what’s coming into the futuristic world.
