People look at Russell Westbrook and they see an individual dominating the NBA on and off the court. Whether it’s being one of the premier point guards in the game or the leading stylish star above all others, his new Jordan signature sneakers are meant for greatness.
The all new Westbrook 0.2 shoes combines the Jordan VI and Jordan 1 KO parts into one. This high-top style features a blend of leather and suede and Westbrook’s logo on the outer tongue. The lone superstar of OKC talks about why he went to this direction.
“The design team and I took global inspiration for the shoe and wanted to create a style that could be worn by kids and adults,” Westbrook says of his second signature sneaker, which will come in three colorways—camo and black, red and black, and a super-clean all-white version according to Esquire.
Westbrook loves to be creative with anything he does. He’s clearly the NBA’s Walt “Clyde” Frazier of this generation, doesn’t care what others thing and goes with what he loves to wear. In the inner tongue of the sneaker, it says “Why Not?.” The all-star point guard probably suggesting everyone why not take chances on things rather than playing it safe? Why not be different from others than be a normal individual in the public?
Westbrook is where he is because of being himself, which most don’t really do due to peer pressure or criticism. Be on the lookout for more interesting things to come from an individual’s legacy that continues to grow.
“I look for the different stuff,” says Westbrook according to Nike. “I’m confident in what I wear, regardless of what other people are wearing. I just try to find what looks good on me. I shop all the time, basically every day, whether it’s online or in every city we go to.”
