Serena Williams May Be Abandoning Tennis To Focus On Another Passion
The best athlete in the world, Serena Williams, may have plans to pursue a completely different career path.
When speaking about her Plan B career to Vogue, Serena – who has been been running her own label Aneres since 2004 – said, “I’d be a fashion designer”
However, she admits that trying to balance working on her clothing line while competing in tennis tournaments simultaneously has been problematic in the past, and she she would like to focus on one passion at a time. “I’ve played Wimbledon, I played the Open, I’m playing tournaments in between [designing]. When you work on the shows it’s not like it takes two weeks. It’s a four, five, sixth month commitment. It was a lot of preparation. All of the looks – pairing it, first, last, finale, middle… music. It was a lot!”
Serena may not be ready to conquer the fashion world right now, but when she is, the world better watch out!
