Sharpton Entertainment, LLC Light Up Harlem with 8th Annual Essence Of Ebony Fahion Show
August 13th, Harlem NY– On Monday August 12th, Sharpton Entertainment LLC brought fashion to the streets of Harlem, New York, with its’ 8th Annual fashion show entitled ESSENCE OF EBONY. Hosted by TVone’s R&B Diva Monifah, the evening featured leading fashion designers and models selected from castings led by the CEO of Sharpton Entertainment LLC, Ashley Sharpton, the youngest daughter of national civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton.
Adam Clayton Powell Plaza was filled with hundreds of young people that were treated to a special pre-show hosted by Harlem recording artist & socialite Mo Bars and Model & Personality Brittany Sky. Attendees enjoyed the musical stylings of local artists including Epic Recording artist and Harlem native Young Deon, Fynese, Rocko & Havoc, J.E.Z, G. Mims, La Sostero, the W.A.F.F.L.E Dancers and the Vintage Quality Dancers.
Opening the show with the beautifully designed garments by Nene LA Shiro, models strutted their stuff to a packed crowd of hundreds of attendees. Featured Designers included Eccentric Love by Emilia, B Chris Couture by Baaba Christian, Je Suis by Senami, Monica James, Juzt Gold by Jeniya, and Styles by Chimere.
One of the evening’s highlights featured the founders of Sharpton Entertainment LLC, Ashley and Dominique Sharpton, along with their father Rev. Al Sharpton, paying tribute to slain Harlem teenager Olivia Brown. “We want to show the world that positivity can come out of our generation, and we want to expose our peers to positive outlets” said Ashley Sharpton about the mission of Sharpton Entertainment.
Ending the show with a stellar presentation of Styles By Chimere, Sharpton Entertainment LLC fulfilled their mission by providing a positive platform for young people.
