Do you want something that is going to get you out of your seat singing? Go and see the movie SING, which will be released on December 21,2016. From the director Garth Jennings and co-director Christophe Lourdelet, this heart-warming film is about a world of animals focused around a Koala name Buster Moon, who owns a theater that he is struggling to keep open. With him out of ideas on how to keep his theater from shutting down, Mr. Moon decides to hold a singing contest to raise money. The final contestants are two pigs, one who is married with 25 piglets, and the other is a energetic singer, a arrogant mouse, a teenage, punk rock porcupine and her boyfriend, a timid elephant who has a outstanding voice but is scared to share it, and a gorilla who wants to be himself but is afraid his family won’t except him.
This film will make young kids, clap, dance, and sing, while being intrigued with songs from the latest artist such as Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, and Leonard Cohen. Not only is the film a joy of singing but it will have you laughing out of your seat, especially with the character Miss Crawley, Buster Moons’ assistant, who is an older lady with bad eye vision trying her best to help out Mr. Moon’s theater. What makes it more interesting is that her voice over is done by Garth Jennings himself. Moreover, the story line to this film is uplifting and will keep the audience emotionally connected. The events that take place are relatable and very realistic to those in the real world, as well as encouraging to not only kids, but those who are older to do what they love, and accomplish their dreams. SING is the animated film that families should definitely take the time and go see!
