Street Style Series: Spring Switch

In the middle of Broadway Avenue, at the corner of Prince street in SoHo, Manhattan. The Woolworth building is seen from afar. New York, 2009.

Now we’re really starting to feel it! Spring is making more of a scene, layers are being peeled off and lighter clothes are making their way to the front of closets. This simple spring switch up is setting the tone for this season. Let’s get the breakdown.

In the spirit of switching things up, let start from the bottom up.

1) This Nike Roshe Run, in corn blue seems to the color of the season. The great thing about this unique shade is that it can easily be paired with a wide range of colors. It navy essence makes it the perfect mate for brown hues, while still possessing the collaborative cool shades of gray undertones to make black look great as well.

2) Black is NEVER wrong. Even though most people gravitate towards warmer and more lighter color pallets during Spring/Summer, black is just one of those colors that can’t be wrong. This black jean is a great fit, and gives the feel of an ath-leisure look when rolled up and paired with the sneaker.

3) Everyone has to have some sort of white shirt for Spring. Be in a v-neck, or button up, a white shirt is a Spring Staple piece. This loose fitting tee gives this simple look a little personality.

4)Chambray ALLL DAYYYY!! This open shirt look screams Spring. Juxtaposing the buttoned-up chambray look of fall this light layer is the perfect accenting piece for this relaxed look.
