With Thanksgiving and all your other fall feasts just around the corner, hard cider is a perfect drink for the holidays.
At The Finger Lake Cider House tasting here in New York City, they showcased many hard ciders like South Hill Cider, Eve’s Cider, and two favorites, Hazlitt’s Cider Tree and 1911 Established. This was such a great tasting, exploring many different ciders right from our own backyard.
This would make for a great pairing with seasonal desserts like pumpkin pie and ginger cookies.
For a drink suggestion: SPYDER BITE COCKTAIL
12 oz. of Cider Tree Cinnamon Spice.
1.5 oz. (one shot) of Golden Rum and a wedge of lemon
Combine Cider Tree with rum, garnish with lemon wedge. Serve chilled on the rocks, or for a more seasonal taste heat & mull with a cinnamon stick.
1911 Established are premium small batch spirits and artisanal hard ciders all made from apples. Some of 1911 Est. hard ciders include 1911 Founders’ Reserve Rose and Empire Spy.
For something harder 1911 Est. has 1911 Vodka, a vodka triple distilled from apples and 1911 Gin, a gin infused with unique blends of botanicals including juniper and coriander.
1911 Empire wine, pairs well with mozzarella cheese and seafood and 1911 McIntosh great with a full-body paring of cheeses.
Now what are you drinking for the holidays?
