The Orlando Shooting Is Just Another Example Of Hate Crime Affecting The United States
“I’m aching for the victims, their loved ones, and the people of Orlando, and I pray that all those injured have a quick and full recovery,” the Democrat senator Chris Murphy wrote in a statement according to the Business Insider. “I know the pain and sadness that has brought too many communities – Newtown, Oregon, Aurora, San Bernardino, and now Orlando – to their knees, and I can only hope that America’s leaders will do something to prevent another community from being added to the list.”
If this was the first time a crazy lunatic went on a shooting spree in a nightclub, it would be a shock for most Americans hearing it on the news. The fact that another gun shooting occurred again at a different state and time, it’s a cause for concern in which the government needs to address IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
Murphy wrote his statement based on what happen in 2012. In his district, Newton, Connecticut, the shooting occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary school leaving 27 people dead, 20 of which were children. For this one happening in Orlando, 50 people were dead in a gay nightclub.
Very disturbing news as mass shooting continue to increase throughout these past few years. This is just another example of hate crime trending upward more than ever.
How are those with guns even allowed to enter nightclubs, schools or even theaters when the security is much tighter than before. It makes any individual feel uncomfortable to hangout with friends, knowing that incidents like this can happen.
The government wants to stop this hate crime of people wanting to end a person’s life because of their color or being gay. Regardless of how much the government puts in stopping these incidents, ending hate crimes is inevitable. Only time will tell if this ends in the future. But hopefully it’s another step in addressing gun violence for the safety of other communities wanting peace, and nothing more than that.
