The Sheriff Says Goodbye After A Historic NFL Career

Peyton Manning aka “The Sheriff” made an emotional goodbye after playing 18 years in the NFL, giving fans every Sunday his absolute best in playing better than anyone at the quarterback position.

“When someone thoroughly exhausts an experience, you don’t have to ask if they will miss it,” Manning said according to Yahoo Sports. “I revere the game. I love football. You don’t have to worry if I’ll miss it. Absolutely I will.”

The oldest quarterback to start in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers went out like a champion. Despite Manning have an average game against the Panthers, his defense led the way. In his 18 years playing the quarterback position, he changed the game making audibles from the line of scrimmage.His awareness of the defensive schemes dictate what he wanted to attack on offense.

Two time Super Bowl champ, 14 Pro Bowls, 539 touchdown passes and five MVP awards makes him one of the best quarterbacks ever. Supported by his family, brother Eli and teammates from the Colts and Broncos, he thanked them for helping his career be successful. All the battles against a great franchise in the Patriots and breaking records earned him on the list of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Each quarterback can now thank Peyton for making the most important position in the game mean more financially.
