Since the launch of Tidal, it has seen low and high tides walking on a path of inconsistency rivaled by other competitors such as Apple and Spotify. Tidal announced today that it reached three million paid subscriptions since its launch on March 30th, 2015. 2016 started out strong with releases of highly anticipated albums such as Rihanna’s “ANTI” and Kanye West’s “The Life of Pablo”, garnering massive success with streaming numbers raking in over 100 million streams between them respectively.
With growth in their roster of artists now housing superstars such as Lil Wayne and T.I, Tidal continues to make strides of becoming a powerhouse in the streaming business. Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of the company’s launch and with the success that Jay Z envisioned coming to fruition, their wave can only get higher.
