If former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow can play football, then maybe he can try out another sport: baseball.
Tebow plans to hold workouts for Major League Baseball teams. Agent Brodie Van Wagenen, co-head of CAA Baseball, believes he really wants to do well with this opportunity.
”His work ethic is unprecedented, and his passion for the game is infectious. He knows the challenges that lie ahead of him given his age and experience, but he is determined to achieve his goal of playing in the Major Leagues,” Van Wagenen said according to Yahoo Sports.
At 29 years old, Tebow still has the athleticism and mindset to make it happen. Former All-Star slugger Gary Sheffield even said “he’s a natural,” basically impress where the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner is at.
Some professional athletes making the transition of one sport to another very challenging. Bo Jackson had success doing baseball and football. Michael Jordan not as much. For Tebow, this can be his second chance as a professional athlete.
