Four time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady agreed to a two year extension with the New England Patriots.
The deal gives more cap flexibility for the Patriots going into next season. Brady would have made $15 million in 2016 and $10 million in 2017. He often does this for the franchise to sign more free agents in the offseason. He is now 38 years old and wants to play in his 40s. His diet that consist of no sugar or junk food continues to prolong his career for a few years.
Arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history is paid less than other quarterbacks that didn’t even win a Super Bowl. He almost went this year with one play away in Denver against a great defense. His competitiveness and selfless act to take less money gives this team every year the best chance to play in the Super Bowl.
